About the Artist
About the Artist
I have been a graphic designer since 1992. I’m an artist, dreamer,
traveler, hooper, farie, fire dancer, animal lover, pirate, and a
general bad-ass. I’ve attended Burning Man since 2014 and I am always
working on something creative or artistic. Graphic Design is my focus
and I love to paint murals and work on all sorts of creative projects.
I also like to paint rocks and hide them for people to find, sometimes
an image, but mostly inspirational words. I call them “Gratitude
Rocks” and I hide them all over Las Vegas.
I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. My parents always encouraged my artistic
skills. While attending high school, I knew that I was destined for an
art college. My senior year almost entirely consisted of art classes.
I was teacher’s pet, and the art instructors made exceptions and
special courses to fill my days. I received a degree in Visual
Communications from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I became well
versed in graphic design, commercial art related projects, art
history, perspective drawing, and painting.
I moved to Las Vegas in the summer of 2000. I got a full time job in
the gaming manufacturing industry. I designed casino chips for a
living, along with designs for playing cards, dice, and table game
layouts. Eventually, I became the Art Director and managed a team of
designers for eight years. In 2008, I quit my day job and started a
business.
I am an energetic, friendly person with a positive attitude. I know
how to get a job done right and on time. I am used to working with
tight deadlines and I am graceful under pressure. I love what I do,
and I take pride in my work. I have been told that I am a pleasure to
work with and that I am extremely professional.
